WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Basic Motors’ (NYSE: ) Cruise self-driving unit is recalling the automated driving software program in 300 of its autos after a March 23 collision with a bus in San Francisco.

The collision occurred as a result of an automatic car inaccurately predicted the motion of a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority articulated bus, Kruis stated in a press release launched Friday by the Nationwide Freeway Site visitors Security Administration.

Cruz stated the software program in 300 autos was up to date on March 25 to deal with issues that the system “can inaccurately predict the motion of articulated autos equivalent to buses and tractor-trailers.”
